Millions of television viewers heard Bethany Dillon’s “Beautiful” on December 1 when Kathryn McCormick, a contestant on the FOX series So You Think You Can Dance, chose the song to accompany her performance. In no time, the track from the acclaimed singer’s 2004 self-titled debut album jumped to No. 2 on the Christian & Gospel chart at iTunes.
“Did you see the girl dance to my song the other night on SYTYCD?” Bethany twittered. “So cool!”
Just as cool is Dillon’s new album, STOP & LISTEN, which New Release Tuesday has included among its Top Ten releases of 2010, in company with Switchfoot, David Crowder*Band, Relient K, and Sara Groves.

Bethany Dillon's new album, Stop & Listen, has secured a spot in Kevin Davis' "Top 10 Albums of 2009" article featured on newreleasetuesday.com. Davis had this to say about Bethany's latest effort: "First song “Get Up And Walk” impressed me so much I had to listen to it again immediately. Acclaimed twenty-year-old singer/songwriter Bethany Dillon — originally dubbed “the future” of Christian music by CCM magazine — is looking ahead to the release of her much-anticipated new album, STOP AND LISTEN, on September 8. The stirring first single, “Everyone to Know,” is streaming now at MySpace.
Co-written with Dove Award-winning producer Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, Third Day), Dillon says “Everyone to Know” is “a call to those who are chasing after things that won’t satisfy their souls, stuck in the emptiness of their life.
